Dear Mr. Biden
I shook my head when you didn’t take up the nomination for the democratic party in the last presidential election. You mention it was your sons passing, yet, you are now alive and well in politics. So I have to wonder, were you told to sit on the sideline for the team while Mrs. Clinton was given the green light while her own parties opponents were railroaded in the name of democracy? It never made sense to me. You helped president Obama for 8 years, of which, was some sort of a backroom deal made after president Obama beat Mrs. Clinton for the nomination and ultimately his job as a president?
As a simple person, I am looking at what both parties are spewing, and am embarrassed trying to answer questions from people in the international community about what appears the lunacy of the current state USA politics. What it seems to be like is the state of stand up comedy. No one can say anything about anyone. all it takes is one phone call or one line out of a book to create a media firestorm that allows emotions and bad headlines to overrun the idea of “context.
but since your last son unfortunately passed, I have to ask how does someone get a 50k a month seat on a board while knowing nothing about the industry?
perhaps in the political world, there is so much black, white, and gray lies being told just to get elected that people in power don’t remember and think by shoving smokescreens over truth, they can get away with it.
People ask why Mrs. Clinton didn’t get elected last time. I say, “I don’t really know. She was the most qualified candidate for the job, and the mistakes in overconfidence and pride seem to have her appear like a shell of a human running for office. Caricatures. If she was simply herself, I wager she would have won. But she has been in the system so long that I don’t know if she really knows who she is anymore?
As for you, Mr. Biden. You were the one person I felt could have beaten Mr. Trump in the last election. So why are you running now? What is the truth, not the flowery versions that get spewed in the media for the sake of image, legacy, and pride
Sidebar – Mr. Biden, I just saw you talking on a late-night tv comedy show. You expressed that the system we have is fine, the politics are broken, and then went on to sound just like every other politician on a camera. Lifeless, devoid of heart, speaking words that I don’t think you are aware the average voter can sense the disconnect between the joe Biden we would vote for, and the Joe Biden that is running for votes and the presidency. Please watch the tape and then watch Mrs. Clinton on camera in the previous election process.
while kids are better at spotting BS, a lot of the voters who get beyond the emotion and listen to what you are trying to say can sense the disconnect.
The constitution is beautiful, it allows for dynamic change. The current system is broken, bloated, and a feeding frenzy where self-importance and layers of bureaucracy distance the leaders from the people they are elected to serve. It is systemic these days where power and money supersede common sense and the betterment of all.
What has to change is the people. Like yourself. Just be yourself and drop all the make-up, smoke, and mirrors, pride and ego – and watch how the country will respond to a bit of honesty and sincere, genuine thoughts and ideas – devoid of handlers, hanger-on, lobbyists and all the other remora that are part of the feeding cycle in Washington dc.
if you ask me, both sides of the political system in the USA and their politics really appear to be the same wolf in different colored sheep’s clothing. i keep asking, “what are they fighting so hard about all the time, the constant blame and bickering? is it that they want all the power?
do the leaders realize with great power comes great responsibility that permeates beyond self?
Forgive my 10 minutes overrun. I understand it is complicated, yet, we have done this to ourselves, we also can change it, for the better of the nation and the globe, if we stop complaining, whining, always running for re-election, and apply common sense when looking at a giant buffet table of all you can eat perks, accolades, and benefits of power that few get to partake.
I write this not meaning to criticize but ask you to look at a different perspective, one that I doubt your handlers will give you.
Perhaps the average American simply is so numb, they no longer care. But i wager most want the truth anymore. They are tired of the polarized politics, they are tired of being lied to, they will soon be fatigued when the disparity between the top and the bottom widens, and they realize they have been played for leaders selfish reasons and the not the betterment of the country citizens and their place in the increasingly complicated globe.
