I have written a few times about great quote about the reality of persecution. "If you are the one being persecuted, it is black and white. If you are the one persecuting, the same issue becomes many shades of grey." hindsight is always so wise and perfect; however few seems to remember their actions and activities as they happened in real time. The use of logic and hindsight to rationalize their own mistakes - holds little water in the bigger reality.
Few get into the arena, as we have created a society of spectators and streams of media where movies and reality tv shows feed consumers with problems and resolutions inside of 22 minutes to 2 hours. Something interesting happens with people watching the press; they become experts at the subject matter without ever having done the actual work themselves. There was a great quote we had playing american football…the film never lied. what you saw each play or down was what happened.
I see this a lot in life, and it is a part of what I do miss most about being on the road and in the lab with mental freaks that truly have gifts most don't' and/or are skilled in multiple crossover talents. I believe everyone in the world works this way, but sadly, I am reminded this is a portion of the world. most of it…really has me wondering, "what motivated people each day?"
The natural world is pretty straightforward, reasonably predictable, and will not challenge most in the potential of their skills or talents. It seem the one area everyone gets challenged on is the moods, emotions, and behaviors of people that all want to be right, yet not one of them ever thinks they did or have done anything to cause the problems.
Inside the united states, I don't want to help people There anymore. The reason is that the level of distrust, fear, is very high. Many want the same level of quality they see on media, but few have ever entered the arena to realize how much time, effort and money go into making something look that good. It is like you have 99% of the people chasing the reality of 1% of the world. It only doesn't work that way in reality.
What you don't have to sacrifice with anything you do is attaining a level of quality that costs 80% less and delivers about 80% of the high-end solutions. It is something I learned in live entertainment work versus military or medical profession. You only needed to spend 20% on the illusion and look – not the mission-critical precision that I required (we did spend a fortune on redundancy and the reality of not allowing the audience to see how much doesn't go right on each performance)
what many in the world of media think is they can have milspec precision for bargain basement prices.
You actually can if you know how to design, build, fabricate and have the time to develop. The only issues with any problem are how much time and/or money can you throw at a problem. With the technology available today – while it requires a lot of time to learn the skills to learn and master the creation, ideation, prototype, build, and mfg. Steps - there is and will be a niche that I thought might be larger and bigger than it is. It is the people that want unique quality and understand what it is.
This segment of the market is small. You can observe the mass by watching social media and what is essential to people. There is a lot of talk about maker spaces, shared economies, meetings and parties about saving the globe, social consciousness, and plenty of marketing and public relations dollars to expound and talk about it.
what there isn't, is all that many that know how to do more than one of the pieces.
Perhaps that is why while I am upset with an old friend. I am ok because in the larger scale of things – it is fantastic to watch human behavior and the great sadness of it when one thinks they are right and another perception might be they are blind to their stupidity and mistakes that inhibited anyone helping them.
In the world we are in, I have had my illusion with humans shattered time and time. This past goes around was leaders in the religious communities. The struggle in my soul has at least gotten me to realize we are all very flawed and broken human beings.
Thank God there is something far more significant and wiser than us humans. I don't know what happens after this planet. I hope God is merciful to each and looks at our hearts and not some checklist or point system of how well we did "life" according to our minds, pride, and own egos
that last line is me sitting here smiling, yet at the same time, my heart is sad in that everyone wants something good for themselves, yet, perhaps if we all worked for the good of all, everyone would get what they want and need.
the only way for that to happen is people have to stop rationalizing and pointing their finger at others and realize they have the three other fingers (thumb is not a finger) looking back at themselves.
but it truly is hard to look in the mirror, particularly in this western world of image, brand, consumerism, pride, and ego and admit – "oh wow, I am not all that special or perfect….but I do have a great capacity to help and love."
I am not sure if I touched on that path yesterday. It is one I am working on, and it is what I have seen in about three people on this planet — an enlightened state of pure love radiating out of their souls. Sort of like God looks at each of us.
To get there, you probably have to walk alone for a bit and only look inside and work to heal what's broken inside. On the other side of that, you can walk about and try to help others, but with a unique view of how broken we all are, yet, you have a feeling of peace in your heart if you lean into God and love.
no one wants to make mistakes or fail, but the world has created an industry over blaming everyone else for not being perfect in a world of dynamic imperfections.
It is incredible how few people understand what it takes to try and how many fail to make the few spots on the podium. Most cheer and are happy with success via association and being able to pay for officially licensed merchandise and post themselves smiling on social media.
Perhaps what I am thinking and feeling is that many on the planet don't want to do the world to solve the problems? It seems like the earth expects someone else to give them whatever they think, want, and desire with instant gratification speed – and it costs them nothing.
While a nice dream. It is far from any reality from anyone that understands the difference between excellent, good, average, and mediocrity.
a very odd ramble, but that is what you get when I am up in the night dealing with complicated problems in Asia, and other parts of the world – while trying to help some friendly people get solutions to the issues that are pretty simple – yet equally important.
it's all about perspective, and I guess to keep drilling for the truth with each victory or mistake we make?
it is like the planet is watching game films, but everyone either edits themselves out of the picture, or applies literal doses of computer enhancement to their “brand/image”
i think life woudl be much simpler if we dropped all the “make-up”
