Why can’t they just program software updates when you sleep? Wouldn’t that make a better use of time and resources for all?
I wake up, get ready to brainstorm, and it must be that time for Apple to ask for an early morning update. I think, “wouldn’t it be wiser and make more sense to send out the updates later in the evening so all this could be done when one sleeps?”
The morning is off to a strange start, it has been that way for the past few days in that the reality of life rarely is a straight line. It is more like a meandering stream or tides that have ebbed and flows to them. What I am curious about is what the next wave is going to bring to life. the controlled environment spaces are needed, yet the market is lagging in understanding the “why?”
Yesterday a fund was created in Washington dc about that didn’t like controlled environment agriculture, so they are calling it to plant-based something. I am not trying to make a joke, but I just forgot the name of the same technologies trying to magically overthink that they are somehow different, more particular, or unique to the planet. None of this is new, what is new is that technologies have advanced to space where humans can think they invented something new.
The wild card is an exciting project in audio that I hope we can make a reality for some folks. That would be nice, and it would be interesting to hear (again, no pun intended) how they responded to their new space to listen.
Speaking of space, I look out at nature here and look at where supercities are heading and what life will be like in them? If you have ever traveled to India or Asia, you will understand what living in a city is like versus a place that is in nature. Sometimes I wonder if we are brilliant technologists and tool makers? Or just fools in thinking we can control nature? The overall man has done very well for himself in creating spaces that are improvements. What my mind just can’t comprehend is “will all this technology and the data/algorithm/commoditized/capitalistic life be good for actual humans in the long term?
you see how our publics have changed, there are few to no clocks to tell time. I really love wristwatches, but never wear them after the infamous RADO nonsense with the USA/Canada service. “why spend money on a decent watch, and they break it by not tightening a screw and letting water leak in?””
The watch was sold to me because it would be tough to break it. That's why I wore it in the lab and never really worried about it. Maybe one day I will buy the Swiss rail watch. It is simple, has great design, and if I break it, I won’t feel ripped off.
Well? This post brainstorm has gone as well as hearing an old man flatulate in a church when I was a kid. When I was a kid, holidays were the men all going and celebrating at the social club next door and walking into the church a bit “happy.” My brother and I would get smacked on the back of our heads or have our ears tweaked when the inevitable event of some men drinking too much vodka and eating traditional Slavic foods would combine, and some old guy would let a few rip.
My brother and I thought it was funny. I mean, letting flatulence rip in a church takes some serious balls and/or inebriation.
In defense of dad, he sort of had to smack us. I am sure he thought it was funny too, but being a parent and all, he had to teach us that farting in a church wasn’t a great idea.
Thank you apple software update that came first thing in the morning…I better drink more coffee to engage my brain again, sans cranium flatulence.
