I am trying to find some time to work out what I am seeing and how the world appears to be moving apart in terms of humanity getting along and cooperating more within its cultures and differences. What is more concerning is that if you look just inside the united states, the fracturing in the media really is demonstrating that making a dollar is more important than any ethic or ethos? It just seems that the players revolve around over time with slightly different agendas, while most of the people are blinded to the real issues of pride and greed that reside in humans.
The current system applauds terrible behavior. Thankfully, I was able to be around a lot of people outside of the media in the past few months that gave me great hope that there is a lot of really decent people making the country better each day. The odd part is this behavior is usually pushed aside and buried under the noise of those trying to grab the brass ring
When you take this issue out to the global level, and if you have an inkling of what technology can currently do and think forward a little bit – what it amounts to is there will be a series of global gatekeepers that will quantify humanity into some neat little construct with which one must abide. I am not sure if it will be religion, politics, ideology, or power on growth hormones with machines?
The critical element of it all will be “choice” and the idea of “free will.” These ideas are probably what will suffer the most. For many people, they really will never have the ability to have such a beautiful gift.
I had an unexpected chat last night with a friend in a parking lot, and he asked a most peculiar question, “how is your spirituality?”
In the past year, it has been a struggle as I watch humans and the systems we believe and put in place seem to miss the mark of what is written and told in the books for love and enlightenment. I mentioned that my life path has knocked me down from the earths way of looking at life, to a knowledge that there is a whole lot more going on than what man can invent, and the struggle has been to learn somehow to smile, forgive, forget and move on in a world that wants to seem to stop and blame, seek a pound of flesh, and is very angry. “how do you come or navigate that reality? If people don’t want to seek to heal themselves, what hope is there for the planet?”
So, this morning, I was pondering that article that came out a few days ago. It is not an optimistic view of what might happen in the short-term future as the abrasion, heat, and conflict that change brings will reach a new level as machines meld with men.
If humans were a bit more evolved, I would not have these concerns, yet, when I look out at society, I see the strengths and weaknesses of all systems on the planet. There simply is no perfect one way. A part of that is the beauty of life, evolving, learning, and growing.
What I don’t see happening when humans are encumbered by pride, greed, and the lust for power is many people getting past the gatekeepers of the future that society will have in place. Instead, we will delve further into a fear-based global culture, not one that really gets beyond the idea of conditional love.
That’s the morning coffee. Have a great day
