I kept up with the snowfall through the early evening, this morning I went out and was met with the door having a problem opening. through the night a heavy icy mix must have fallen and I realized instead of pushing the snow to clear it, I would have to shovel. add to it, the normal snowfall temperature that is usually around freezing 32 f and 0 c – is dropping down into the teens with the arctic blast that is expected. it simply is cold, really cold and even with shoveling it take little time to be chilled to the bone.
I am even debating going up into the woods to take photos. it is simply not weather you really would choose to go out into unless you have to. I wonder if as a kid I would be anxious to get out and play in this? it is actually perfect igloo snow in that you can cut blocks of it and make a great snow fort, and it is thick enough to make an igloo. ever been in one? it is surprisingly comfortable considering it is made of snow and ice.
the snow will be continuing for most of the day and the early afternoon. at least there is light and I can shovel all the time. I feel terrible for the neighbor that gets hired to clear the driveway, I can hear his snow blower shooting chunks of ice out of it. the snow went from fluffy loveliness to igloo worthy ick. the later does not bode well in mechanical machines, or even human back muscles for that matter
I will be in a massive brainstorm day…thoughts, food, I think there is American football games, and snow.
I am curious with the arctic blast coming in if it clears the sky for what is called the wolf blood moon. it is an eclipse that seems to be something interesting in color and shade of the event. right now. all I see is white. it isn’t a massive snowfall, just a consistent falling of snow, very beautiful from inside the confines of a warm environment.
maybe after a cup of coffee I will get adventurous and take a tripod up in the woods to play with a camera and nature?
