spaces and space…form vs. function….why?
I wonder if it is simply a natural progression as you age, you truly seek to have and hold less? I can’t explain it, when I was younger, there was a rush to acquire stuff and it was no problem to get on the gerbil mill of life with the rest of the folks on the planet and go out to make something of oneself.
one day I realize I probably had blindfolds on, or perhaps a better way to phrase it would be that when you stop and get off the gerbil mill, you will look around and ask, “what exactly was I doing all that work for?”
the same thing is with spaces in agrowspace. the process to come up with the one space that can be modular in nature, yet, also provide for a minimal type of real beauty is getting closer. it is a bit like drawing new characters for show ideas….you draw, draw, edit, draw until the character on the paper seems to come to life. you know at that moment, no more tinkering or editing is needed.
have you ever overdrawn a good idea? perhaps this is part of the process of learning what is enough? or when is enough?
perhaps that is where I enjoy the simplicity and beauty of nature in a world that will become more concrete and towers with the birth of megacities on the planet.
perhaps I am simply comfortable with me? it doesn’t mean I won’t continue to challenge and grow with new ideas – but it means I am fine not running on a gerbil mill and following a herd who never seem to ask, “why?”
