the following blurb was written two days before the missile strike…
anyone else have days where you wake up, get your coffee and wonders, “what exactly is the president thinking and/or doing?” when you see that much turnover in staff, seemingly off the cuff reactions at every moment in his personal and political life where everyone else is blamed, but you get a sense of immense insecurity with what is becoming clearer with, “but I didn’t do anything” mentality – when simply saying, “yeah, I was a rich and powerful man, women would do pretty much anything to get near me – but that was in the past.” (I can live with that)
yesterday you have the house speaker resigning. do you know what it would take most people to give up the perks and power of that position? I would say the political world has gotten so sleazy and corrupt behind the scenes that even politicians are running from it all. these are the same folks that created it. my concern this morning is Syria, where for years now, everyone and everybody has been using the land as a weapons testing facility for any/and or all factions, elements, groups, and splinter groups of pretty much anyone wanting to fight for the sake of ideology, religion, and/or psychiatric reasons.
why on earth does the president tweet, “missiles are coming” when the element of surprise is probably your biggest asset in today’s modern warfare?
once again, we will have leaders, and I pray we don’t get into yet another conflict for egotistical reasons that are veiled by the message of some righteous cake frosting shoved down the publics throat.
what is apparent is the president has a huge Achilles heel in geo-political experience, yet I wonder if he even listens to anyone on his cabinet or is there to advise him. I have no problem with a leader taking chances, but when the reality is a powered keg being lit for ww3 – I would hope wisdom and sanity might prevail, or at least have everyone stand in a line and once and for have a "size of manhood" competiion before firing weapons, because none of us really care what size it is -we do care how he leads the country in world where our president is being flanked on so many sides – yet – he doesn’t appear to? or doesn’t care to see it, or is in denial about it all. (i mean how much money did the lawyer spend to cover up stuff of the rich and famous?)
“I am sorry” or “we made some mistakes, this is what we learned and how we are trying to rectify it” does more to gaining trust and forgiveness with most people than covering up your stuff and pretending it didn’t happen.
my simple prayer each day for the president and capitol hill is that a light of what is good shines inside what are all the various cracks and hiding spots that exist with the players in the game. the president said he was going to clean the swamp – yet – I think he is too busy trying to keep the toilet seat on his own to do much about the one that is all around him.
this morning’s note Is simply disbelief with watching the pieces of the chess board of life being moved and manipulated by various nations and states. I think a few sides realize the stupidity of a mass conflict, but there are some that want to live in the land of Oz and think that all out conflict in soil that is perfectly ripened to ignite in a giant global flash is somehow good for the planet.
I think yesterday’s blog was about how we get to make a choice between being angry and/or seeing the good on the planet. sadly what will destroy the planet is not the weapons we all have around the planet – but rather – ego, pride, lust for power, envy and greed.
but you don’t hear much said about those weapons systems in war. they exist, but the way that shadow war game is played – few will ever know what the reality is at any one time.
wouldn’t it be easier if everyone was honest and worked out their differences – sans the technologies of war?
yes, I must be brain damaged from football with my naivety. I don’t remember us ever giving an opponent our playbook and game plan a few days before we played them. what I fear is the already convoluted space that is the shadow war battlefield of Syria, where I wager one would be hard-pressed not to find some nation/political/ideology/weapons maker testing out stuff, will lead to an escalation.
to think all this was caused by pride, ego, and greed of a few people…how many will suffer as a result of it all? how much will the weapons industry profit from it all?
my radical solution would be to have these leaders go live for 90 days in the villages, like a normal human being does...with their family...and then watch how fast peace comes to the region. i can accept, "we had no idea how bad it was for the average person that put us in power."
