it has become apparent in the past weeks that I have been working on three or four ideas at the same time. it makes sense to me where everything is headed, which direction it needs to go, and what has to happen with a lot of work – but aside from a few folks around me that do similar things – most people can’t see what is going on inside my head, confused, don’t have enough information to see, or really can’t see until something is standing in front of them. my own mother has horrific visualization skills. thus, in this time, aside from a lot of soul searching, a lot of work in pushing the physical models and stuff that people can see, touch, smell, and go “Oh! I see it now! what an idea!”
I am not sure if that is my signal that I will be bored with the idea. once I see it, I tend to go, “oh that is possible and will work…what else can we work on too?” perhaps that is part of the passion of creation, innovation, and invention? you simply like playing and tinkering with ideas all the time.
the later gets odd when you are living in a world that wants to push a button and have everything magically an instantly happen and solve whoever need or problem they have. this will be possible in about 30-50 years with AAI – but my question is will it all simply give everyone what they want, and not what they need?
as for the presentation idea…it is clever. I ran it by some artists and fine craftsmen around here. “that will grab attention and educate.”
while I smile that it is a neat idea and clean way to convey the projects. I would rather simply be building them. I wonder how many really good ideas get destroyed by design by committee?
as for some of the folks not seeing or following along the path of “this is what you need to do to get this off the ground” the business experience will follow and one day we look back and go, “oh…so this is normal in startups?”
“yes, it is not the same game as sitting in a fortune 100.”
