the past few days have been more like my normal old life. I have had to bridge the spectrum from super genius minds to commons sense ones – and blend the two together to create something that solves problems. it is a microcosmic land of science meeting nature and while a man is a great tool maker – he is an imperfect species.
thus, you bring in the faith of spirituality to guide one along so you don’t go do something really stupid by thinking, ‘hey ya’all watch this. I am going to splice new genetics and/or properties together and feed some ideas into an artificial intelligence system to spit out some new stuff!”
perhaps that is why I have some heartburn with our short-term future. if human beings were wise enough, and/or had leadership that was strong enough to not get sucked into the feed trough of short term success and the trappings of power – aka – drugs, babes, sex, money, put on a pedestal, powerful, etc.…well, since I really don’t see that changing anytime soon, rather, it is going to accelerate and the divide amongst the people in the developed world will probably get bigger.
add to this idea the really amazing drop in the cost of technology, ability to make anything by pushing a button, splice and rearrange your own genetics, biology/chemistry lab in your basement or garage…and yes…someone is bound to do something really silly, hopefully innocent and ignorant – so that I can rationalize there aren’t so many people with ill will in their ideas to destroy something – but rather create something good for humanity.
while I don't’ think I said one thing that made any sense. my head is swimming as I will be putting all the parts into one big model…of which, I pray folks can grasp that you can do so much with the tools of technology today – anywhere on the planet – off or on the grid. it is really an exciting time.
but first I am going to the gym to work out some stress buildup and get rid of some tired laziness in my body to jumpstart it. a cup of coffee just isn’t working too well the past days.
