The control room is finished, and it really is cool when you notice the effects of the sum of all the parts from bass traps, diffusers, wave guides and ceiling elements take what was a room, and create a space you simply don’t want to leave, as the warm silence…is simply beautiful.
I think back to when saw the plan for the first time, I thought, “this is a good plan. It should sound amazing.”
The silence really was. We should simply start building them for people in urban environments to go sit and meditate, pray, or be still.
In some respects, I got that same feeling when I was sitting out on the mountain in Colorado. Nature has a pace, speed and rhythm, just like a silent space does.
The world man lives in, simply has so much noise in it, I am amazed that people aren’t aware of the beauty of quiet, stillness, and silence.
What a treat…I can still hear the room and all the parts coming together and when the ceiling elements were in place – the room was finished.
Now, some great music can be mixed in that space...preferably with Marshall, Mesa, Vox, Ampeg, and other fine implements of sonic destruction all turned up to 11.
