before you read todays verbage - click on the link and read the article. It is from a friends experience a few years ago.
What is reality might be completely different for everyone on the planet. I had just read an article my friend wrote when she visited Guantanamo a few years ago. It had me wonder, “What does god really think of all his kids?”
Then I read the comments, and I sat wondering, “what world do we live in. If someone harms us, we rationalize the same behavior back as righteous and good.” If you read the comment below the post, I would have agreed wholeheartedly with the man 30 years ago. “Be tough! Kill thine enemy! Rid the evil!”
Then I re-read what he wrote and thought, “Who made you god?
That is the problem with men. The creator of the universe is a smidgen larger and more complicated than the few billion of us residing on planet earth, within a myriad of religions, each saying, “love god!”
So what happens if you truly do love god? Do you not have to love your fellow man as well? No matter where or what he falls into on the spectrum of humanity?
Then I just got sad, as I thought about the shadow wars and the contractors all over the planet with the dull colorless corporate contractor logo that is designed to make money, while keeping the link or distance to the nation states or designers of evil works that hire them.
I would like to say the walking along with life experiences on the planet has made me smarter or wiser, but, when I look at all the events, I feel pretty ignorant with man anymore.
My friend Anne Marie got to go and see Guantanamo with her own eyes. I don’t know if I would do as well. When you go by or in 3rd world Prisons, there is a wretched darkness that seems to separate “normal” from what Freud would call the abnormality of human behavior locked up behind bars and controlling another human being.
Yes, people all make choices, and if you are hurting your fellow man, well, you have to sit and ask yourself if an eye for an eye is better than realizing loving your fellow man might actually cost you a great deal, to learn and provide change for all humanity.
Of course, all I am writing about could be a pipe dream. The news reports are running the story of 127 people gunned down in a school in Pakistan.
I don’t think god hears the voice of a parent crying for the death of their child any different if they are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, or any of the other world religions.
I think he might sigh and ask, “If all these different groups are taught to love god, why are they killing each other and thinking it is right?”
One day after we all pass on from this life, wouldn’t it be interesting if everyone stood in front of an energy/entity that is pure love who asks something like, “you were all chosen ones. My creation. Why did you hurt each other so?”
Yes, we would all have to shut up, even the lawyers – I think they would be too amazed at what the essence of pure love could be or is.
Hopefully one day we will all get to experience it. I pray god has a whole lot of mercy upon his creation called man. We all will need it.
