I forgot one of the more interesting things about Sundays in Switzerland. it is that the country seems to take the day off, shops are closed, and no one really makes any noise. ever see parent force their kids to go do something, like sending them to church, yet the parents never go? it is like some formal “checklist” that gets punched to say, “I did what I was supposed to with the idea of god and religion, but, I don't’ need or want to go myself.”
seems like a recipe for a kid to say, “why am I being forced to go, when you don’t go?”
